This privacy policy applies to the Workspot app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by an individual developer (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application processes information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as:
Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address) (processed by Apple and/or subscription infrastructure as part of network requests) Basic device information required for App Store purchases and subscription validation Operational data needed for the Application to function (for example, local preferences and configuration) The Application is designed to keep most of your focus configuration on your device. Workspot's workspots (saved locations), schedules, app selections, and Screen Time settings are primarily stored locally (on-device). Workspot also uses an App Group container to share state between the main app and Apple extensions (DeviceActivity / Shield / Report).
The Application does not include third‑party advertising SDKs.
Location Information
The Application accesses your device's location to provide workspot functionality. The Service Provider uses location data to provide location‑based automation via geofencing (region monitoring), such as activating or pausing focus when you enter or leave a saved workspot. Workspots use precise location (coordinates and radius) to define zones. This data is stored on your device for the feature to work.
The Service Provider does not use your location for third‑party advertising or tracking. Location is used only to provide core app functionality and to improve reliability of automation on-device.
Screen Time / Family Controls
When you use the Application, it uses Apple Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls / ManagedSettings) to block distracting apps. Your selection is represented by Apple tokens (for apps/categories/web domains) and used to apply restrictions. The Service Provider does not sell this information.
Third Party Access
The Application uses third‑party services for core platform functionality:
Apple: App Store purchases and Screen Time frameworks Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication): sign‑in services (including Sign in with Apple integration via Firebase) and authentication infrastructure RevenueCat: subscription management and purchase validation These services may process certain information as part of providing their service (for example, purchase/receipt validation data and technical identifiers). When you sign in, Firebase Authentication creates and manages an authentication user identifier. The Application uses that identifier to help associate subscription status across devices (for example, by logging in to RevenueCat using a stable app user ID).
The Service Provider may disclose information:
as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process; when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request; with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement. You can stop all information processing by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.
Data Retention Policy
